PROJECT 2011

Unitrash is an event based for universities throughout London, run by Ministry Of Sound. The desired outcome was to create a recognisable and synonymous student brand within the clubbing industry, that will be something that can grow and evolve with the changing trends of student needs and demands. The direction for the tour I illustrated an attention seeking graphic, through looking at simplified elements and a single image that symbolise the event running. It is cool, current and the brand solution stands together so when you see any of these events you know that it is a Unitrash affair.

Launced in August 2011, the first term had 16 universities across the UK running the weekly events, over our predicted target of 10 universities. Marketing the event involved; setting up a Unitrash Facebook page for each university, this was also monitored for regular growth and continual blogging. We created a video teaser plus Soundcloud mixes for the pages, this was also used on the official Ministry Of Sound Unitrash webpage. The Ministry Of Sound blog and Twitter accounts also fed constant updates on the launch and hype around the events.

Printed collateral involved flyers, posters and brand guidelines for all universities, where their event coordinators were in charge of producing and delivering. Calendars, t-shirts, banners and projected visuals were supplied for the nights.
